The company Aena Desarrollo Internacional takes over operations at the airport in Greater João Pessoa. The airport in Paraíba has the capacity to receive 2.3 million passengers per year and ended 2019 with more than 1.3 million travelers, between departures and arrivals.

Currently, the airport has 16 scheduled flights from the airlines: Azul, Gol and Latam. The routes connect João Pessoa to several Brazilian destinations, such as Rio de Janeiro (RJ), São Paulo (SP), Brasília (DF), Campina Grande (PB) and Recife (PE).

The International Airport of João Pessoa – Presidente Castro Pinto (IATA: JPA) is an international airport, located 22 km from Tambaú Beach, its access is via BR-230 (region of beaches) or Via Oeste (center of City). Its location is excellent because it is far enough away from urban areas but not too far from the city.
