Paraíba has been consolidating itself as one of the main leisure destinations for foreign tourists visiting Brazil. According to information from the Embratur Data Portal, the search for leisure attracted 58.51% of foreigners who came to the state in 2023, an increase of 1.84 percentage points compared to 2022, when this percentage was 56.67% .
The second main motivation was family visits, which represented 28.42% of visitors in 2023, compared to 2022, when this figure was 31.77%. Business travel also saw growth, rising from 10.31% in 2022 to 11.48% in 2023. In fourth place were group travel, which despite having lower demand, still registered 1.59% in 2023 and 1.25% in 2022.
