João Pessoa International Airport expands its capacity by 80% and gains a VIP room

Castro Pinto International Airport, in João Pessoa, underwent changes and underwent renovations. This Friday (8), the changes were presented to the press.

According to Aena, a Spanish company that has managed the airport since 2020, the location now has 80% more operational capacity with the changes.

Among the new features are more store options, an expansion of the aircraft apron, a new area for international flights in the passenger terminal, among other adjustments.

João Pessoa Airport gained two fingers;

– Also gained twice the space in the departure and arrival halls;

– Aircraft apron was expanded by 11 thousand m² and received three new positions for stopping aircraft, an increase of 60% in the number of simultaneous flights;

– New systems and equipment automate boarding and disembarking processes;

– More options for stores, services, restaurants. The increase was from four to ten stores;

– New VIP room;

– Passenger terminal now has a new area for international flights.
