Meet Aena Brasil

Aena Brasil is the registered trademark of the Spanish company Aena, considered by the International Airport Council as the largest airport operator in the world in number of passengers, with more than 275.2 million in 2019. Since the beginning of 2020, it manages the concession of six airports from the Northeast region: Recife (PE), Juazeiro do Norte (CE), João Pessoa (PB), Campina Grande (PB), Aracaju (SE) and Maceió (AL).

In 2018, the six airports totaled 13.7 million passengers. In Spain, it operates 46 airports and 2 heliports. It is the controlling shareholder, with 51%, of the London-Luton airport in the United Kingdom, in addition to managing airports in Mexico (12), Colombia (2) and Jamaica (2), which totaled a passenger volume of 78.2 million in 2019. In addition, it provides consulting services to strategic clients such as Companhia de Aeroportos de Cuba – ECASA.
