João Pessoa, closed with a golden key the participation in the tenth edition of WTM LA 2023 – WTM Latin America – event held in São Paulo this week – with the winning of the Azul Award, granted by Azul Viagens, tour operator for Azul Linhas Aéreas.
The capital of Paraíba received an Honorable Mention for its performance in sales at the destination. According to the operator, it was the Brazilian city that grew the most in sales in 2022, a 61% increase in the number of passengers compared to the previous year.
For the secretary of Tourism, Daniel Rodrigues, the award for João Pessoa represents an intense work that the city hall has done to make the capital of Paraíba one of the best destinations in Brazil. “We are always prioritizing promotion actions, such as those carried out in partnership with Azul Viagens and the airline, the State Government and the tourist trade”, he said.
